Some of them didn't feed very well, but I adjusted the ones that didn't work well with a pair of pliers, and all work good now.Īround 1995 I found a small gun store that had a couple of brand new Late Production (just before HS Hamden went out of business) HS Sport King pistols that were on display for $150 each. I bought a stack/pile (about 10-12) of extra OE blued magazines from a local hardware store that also sold some guns for about $4 a piece back around 1985. You will have better luck charging/loading the chamber, if you grasp the slide with your off-hand, and pull it backwards a fraction, then release it. I don't think the slide release was ever meant to be released to chamber a fresh/loaded magazine by depressing it. My Military Citation has always been very accurate, and even now after tens of thousands of rounds down the barrel, is exceptional.

I really wanted a Victor, but I gave it up waiting for one. High Standard was in trouble for a long time, and even though they could easily sell every gun they made, and there was a waiting list everywhere that sold them, the company still managed to go under. Had to wait a couple of months until they got it for me. I bought my Hamden manufactured HS Military Citation 107 a few months after I turned 21 from B & B Sales in Hollywood, CA for $175.

After that it cycles perfectly while shooting.ĭoes anyone with a High Standard know how to fix this small issue? Also where can I find a couple more magazines and maybe the barrel weights for the Victor? On the Victor, after inserting the loaded magazine and hitting the slide release, it does not feed the first round unless I help push the slide a little. Might need to change to a slightly lighter recoil spring. Seems the CCI SV had several FTE on the M41. Now for function and reliability, both guns had some issues.

Only problem is finding magazines for it and learning to release the slide on the right side of the gun and magazine release on the bottom of the handle. Its accuracy and ease of shooting better groups and not as ammo sensitive makes it a winner in my book. If I had to choose one over the other, it would be the Victor. I haven't practiced with either gun before. When it came to shooting freehand, I found it easier to shoot more accurately with the High Standard Victor even though the gun didn't feel as good in my hand. The Victor was ok with the Aguila SV but didn't like the others either. The M41 did not really like any of the other ammo. On the rest, I was able to get a group of around 3/4" with both guns using CCI SV with iron sights. In any case, I sighted both with CCI SV since that's the ammo I heard that both guns really liked. Didn't have a sand bag rest as that would probably be better. I had to sight in each gun and used a carpeted wooden rest to remove a little of my human error. This was done indoors at around 15 yards. Finally went to the range to try both guns side by side to compare how they shoot using CCI SV, Aguila SE SV, CCI Blazer and Federal Champion ammo. In that way it is possible to also speed up by giving the -s parameter.I recently purchased a S&W M41 and HS Victor. Here is the code snippet you have to change: In addition I adopted the msrtsimul.py in the way that I commented line 95 ("rec.begin_time += time_diff") in msrtsimul.py and changed the name to msrtsimul_historic.py. Msrtsimul_historic -j $1 -s $2 $3 | scautopick_4805 -u pick $FLAGS -I -debug Sceplog_4805 -u eplog $CONNECTION > $4.xml & Spread_4805 -n localhost -c "/home/sysop/seiscomp3/trunk/etc/spread_nf" & I am sure that our IT-guys have probably many improvements to the script, but it worked for me.Įcho "Usage: $0 " Here is the historic_offline_playback sh. I also created a new nf supporting port 4805. So I used another messaging system running on port 4805 instead of 4803 and created symlink so the modules are named xxx_4805 to make it easier to identify them.

I made adoptions to the offline processing script for the case running historic offline playback and realtime playback in parallel, which was required for not interfering with Jans MT playback at the SCUG. Here is how to make historic offline playbacks: This page refers to the old SeisComP 3 version, and may no longer be accurate.
